About Us

‘ABM Tiling’, originally known as ‘Mosaic Installations’ was founded in Sussex in 1999 by Andrew McNicol & Paul Cobbett. To begin with we focused on all aspects of tiling in the Sussex area. By 2001 ABM tiling had started to take on tiling projects of increasing size, and with this found that our customer base expanded from tiling in Sussex to cover tiling in Surrey and tiling in South London area and tiling in Central London area. During this time we expanded our skill base and contact network and are now able to offer everything that is involved in the total renovation of buildings, both interior and exterior though our sister company AP Design & Build.

In April 2005 Mosaic Installations relocated to Sutton, Surrey to be more central to our customer base. At the same time the company name was changed from ‘Mosaic Installations’ to ‘ABM Tiling’ and ‘ABM Build & Design’ to both maintain our speciality in tiling & flooring in the and to reflect the changing nature of the business.

Over the years ABM Tiling has built up a large network of carpenters and tilers in the Sutton, Surrey & London areas to call upon ensuring the quality of the work is kept to the highest standard. Similarly, we have used our experience to locate and build good business relationships with reliable suppliers that offer the widest range of quality tiles and timber. Andrew McNicol

Founder & director of ABM Tiling. Graduated from Dundee university with MA honours in economics, business & marketing. Worked in marketing for project management and engineering company Arup before moving to Mesacom UK an export company. Realised on a sales trip to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania that office work was just no fun. On return he started working as a carpenter and tiler before starting up Mosaic Installations with Paul Cobbett in 1999. In 2005 Mosaic Installations was renamed ABM Tiling and Andrew now heads the company working both on-site and in the office. Works both as a tiler and carpenter. Tilers in Sutton, Surrey and Sussex.

Paul Cobbett

Co-founder of Mosaic Installations and first class tiler with great attention to detail. You won’t find a better tiler be it mosaic or natural stone. Also excellent with wooden flooring. Tilers in Horsham, Sussex, Surrey.
