Project Overview
ABM Tiling Limited is set to deliver specialised heritage tiling services for the major refurbishment of 8 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, a Grade II listed 18th-century townhouse in Holborn, London. This prestigious project involves converting the historic building, formerly legal chambers, into the new London headquarters for MKS PAMP, a leading precious metals firm.
Working under main contractor Daedalus Conservation and architects Giles Quarme Architects, the works encompass sensitive conservation alongside modern upgrades across multiple floors. With a focus on preserving architectural integrity while integrating contemporary finishes, the refurbishment includes demolition, structural repairs, and high-end interior installations to create a functional commercial space.
ABM Tiling's Role
As expert tiling contractors, ABM Tiling will handle the supply and installation of premium wall and floor tiling throughout the building, ensuring compliance with heritage standards in this Grade II listed property. Our scope includes herringbone-bonded MAZZARRI Lume tiles in sophisticated hues like Bone Lux, Beige, and Green for bathroom walls, complemented by brass and black aluminium trims for a refined finish. Floor tiling will feature durable CLAYBROOK Limestone in stretcher bond across lower ground, ground, first, second, and top floors, alongside Quarry Red tiles in service areas and underfloor heating integration with Schluter Ditra matting. With over 185 m² of floor tiling and specialised elements like shower niches and gullies, ABM Tiling’s expertise in heritage tiling guarantees seamless execution, using flexible adhesives and MAPEI grouts to enhance longevity and aesthetics in this commercial refurbishment.
