As we approach the festive season in this year in review, the team at ABM Tiling Limited looks back on 2025 with immense pride. It has been a year marked by challenging heritage restorations, expansive commercial installations, and innovative residential developments. Operating from our base in Greater London while delivering projects nationally, we've continued to uphold our reputation as trusted tiling contractors committed to precision, quality, and client satisfaction.
This year in review highlights how our expertise in ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiling has contributed to some truly iconic spaces across the UK. From historic cathedrals to modern hospitality venues, our skilled tilers have brought visions to life, often under tight deadlines and complex site conditions.
Key Projects That Defined Our 2025 Year in Review
One of the standout achievements in our 2025 year in review was our ongoing work on the Kensington Forum Hotel refurbishment in collaboration with Ardmore. This large-scale project saw us install over 20,000 square metres of bespoke Florim porcelain tiles across guest rooms, ensuites, communal areas, and amenities. The transformation of this landmark Kensington property into a contemporary hospitality destination demanded flawless execution, blending luxury aesthetics with durable, high-traffic performance. Our team's meticulous coordination ensured seamless integration, elevating the guest experience through elegant, easy-to-maintain surfaces.

In the heritage sector, our contributions to several major cathedral restorations stood out prominently. Working alongside Simpson (York) Limited on the multi-million-pound restoration of Salford Cathedral – one of the year's most significant heritage endeavours – we delivered specialist flooring solutions using Purbeck limestone, historic encaustic tiles, and advanced substrates to ensure longevity and authenticity. This Grade II* listed project involved intricate conservation techniques to revive the cathedral's Victorian splendour while incorporating sustainable underfloor heating and modern stability measures.
Our work at Leicester Cathedral's restoration remained a highlight, collaborating with Messenger Construction to specialise in natural stone flooring, incorporating resilient materials like Purbeck Beige limestone. This project underscored our proficiency in sensitive conservation work, preserving architectural integrity while introducing sustainable, modern elements that will endure for generations.

Further afield, our partnership with Simpson (York) Limited on the multi-million-pound restoration of South Ormsby Hall showcased our versatility in premium stone, brick, and porcelain solutions. This grand estate project allowed us to deliver tailored tiling that honoured historical craftsmanship alongside contemporary standards.

Closer to home, repeat collaborations with HG Construction on schemes like the Biscuit Factory redevelopment and Kennington Lane student accommodation reinforced our strength in commercial and residential new builds. These projects involved hygienic, stylish tiling in high-usage areas such as corridors, bathrooms, and lobbies, often using sustainable porcelain from suppliers like Domus Group.
We also advanced natural stone restoration efforts in London, including precise repairs at Grade I listed sites like the Church of St Stephen Walbrook. These endeavours reflect our deep respect for Wren-era architecture and our ability to tackle intricate cracks and historic repairs with traditional techniques.
Looking Ahead: Excitement for 2026
As this year in review concludes, excitement is building for 2026. With a robust pipeline of upcoming commercial developments, heritage commissions, and nationwide residential schemes, we're poised to build on 2025's successes. Emerging trends in recycled tiles, smart integrations, and bold patterns will feature prominently, allowing us to push boundaries in functionality and aesthetics.
We're particularly enthusiastic about expanding our sustainable tiling initiatives, partnering with forward-thinking suppliers to reduce environmental impact without compromising quality. New collaborations with main contractors on major UK projects promise even greater scale and innovation.
Festive Wishes from the ABM Tiling Team
As the holiday season arrives, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our clients, partners, suppliers, and dedicated team members who made 2025 exceptional. Your trust and collaboration have been the foundation of our achievements.
