We're incorporating robust Purbeck limestone, sourced from the historic Haysom’s quarry in Dorset – a site that's been supplying durable stone for over three centuries. These 40mm Grub and Thornback slabs offer not just strength but a timeless aesthetic that aligns perfectly with the cathedral's eco-friendly goals. Complementing this are the exquisite Craven Dunhill Jackfield encaustic tiles, handcrafted at their Ironbridge factory since 1872. Featuring 3 and 4 colour designs in 152x152mm squares and 152x75mm borders, these 10mm thick tiles include bespoke crests and a 25-panel pattern per bay, adding layers of intricate beauty.

Spanning over 900m² in total, with a dedicated 45m² across three pivotal zones using these natural stone and encaustic elements, the project kicked off in July 2025. Our natural stone tiling experts are working alongside partners like Jupiter Underfloor Heating, who provided a cutting-edge screed substrate to SR1 tolerance – ensuring less than 3mm deviation over 2 metres for flawless results. Using Ardex adhesives and grouts, we're securing a finish built to last generations.
